GLOBAL EQUITY FOR LONG-TERM INVESTORS

My name is Graham Rhodes, and I founded Longriver Investment Partners in Hong Kong, the city where I was born and raised, to manage a global equity strategy for long-term investors who think like business owners.

I invest in a focused group of public companies that I can understand, trust and buy with a margin of safety. The aim is to complement index exposure and specialist managers with differentiated, Asia-informed exposure to businesses that can compound over time.

Before Longriver, I worked as an analyst, a banker and an investor. Today, I run the firm with my family’s capital invested alongside clients.

My roots in Asia shape how I invest. This part of the world has been a demanding training ground: capital cycles can be brutal, governance matters, supply often matters more than demand, and minority shareholders do best when good operations are matched with good capital allocation. Those lessons travel well.

I look for exceptional businesses around the world, often founder-led, capital-efficient and capable of reinvesting at high rates of return. The discipline is value investing: stay within my circle of competence, wait patiently for good odds, and insist on a price that leaves room for mistakes.

My aim is to help clients compound their savings and reclaim their time to focus on what matters most, whether that is family, business, career or charity. While our form is corporate, our spirit is one of partnership. I take my fiduciary duties seriously.
