Sohn Hong Kong Conference 2025

Last week, I had the honour of presenting Wise plc at the Sohn Hong Kong Investment Conference, raising funds for the Karen Leung Foundation’s critical work advancing women’s healthcare in Hong Kong and beyond.

This cause is deeply personal to my wife, Lizzie, and me. In her twenties, Lizzie underwent surgery to remove part of her cervix due to pre-cancerous growths caused by HPV. When we started our family, we faced uncertainty about her ability to carry a pregnancy to term. Thankfully, we’re now blessed with two wonderful boys.

We share this story to break the stigma around gynaecological cancers, promote early screening, and advocate for HPV vaccination - a preventive measure Lizzie wasn’t offered due to taboos at the time.
